The Jain Center of Greater Charlotte (JCGC)
serves the spiritual, cultural, social, and community needs of Jain
families in and around metropolitan Charlotte area. JCGC is a non-profit
organization dedicated to the practice, understanding, promotion, and
preservation of the Jain faith.
More than 125 local area families are members of JCGC. In addition we
have members who live away from Charlotte area, but who support the
activities and goals of JCGC.
JCGC members meet regularly for worship, ceremonies, and festivals throughout the year. Please review the Calendar tab to get more information.
A cornerstone of JCGC activities is
children's religious education and training. This is covered under
Pathshala activities.
For many years JCGC has been planning for and working on building a Jinalay (temple) of their own. This dream finally materialized as the brand new Jain Temple opened its doors on Monday, September 12th, 2011. Please click on Jain Center link for more
