JCYC Pathshala
Choice of Class will be filtered during the registration process based on the child's age
- Child has to be 3 years old or older on or before August 31, 2026 A child younger than 3 yrs old will be eligible to register in future years.
- Children 3-6 years old will attend 2 hours of religion class from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Children 7-14 years old will be required to attend religion class
- Children 15-18 years old will attend Religion Class and Indian Culture or Life Balance Class.
Other Mandatory Selections - Each family is required to sign up for the following in order to complete registration:
- Lunch Duty on one pathshala day - The family will join a group of other families to sponsor and serve lunch to the community.
- Volunteer Work on a different pathshala day - The family will help with the work in a designated area of the Jain Center facility
Optional Selection
- Sutra Class: Students have the option to register for additional sutra classes for greater immersion in this area. There is no additional charge for these classes.
PATHSHALA 2026-2027
The Jain Center Youth Council (JCYC) Pathshala program follows the school calendar. Classes are held in person every other Sunday between September and June each year. The 2026-2027 pathshala year will begin with the first class on August 16. Children that are 3 Years or older on August 31 of that year to be eligible to enroll in Pathshala classes. Please note that pathshala classes will be held in-person at the Jain Center.
Registration will be halted between August 9 - August 15, for two weeks prior to start of class to allow for class assignments. It will resume on first day of class on August 16.
- Annual Registration Fee: $100 per child
- Registration site is open till August 8, 2026
- Registration will be paused from August 9th to August 15th to allow the administrators to finalize class assignments.
- First day of Class: August 16th
- Late Registration fee will be $150 starting August 16th.
- Registration will be closed on Oct 9th with some exceptions. Please contact Pathshala Management.

Mandatory Parent Engagement
Parents are required to provide volunteer service in two ways:
1. Parent Sponsored Lunch: Sponsoring and organizing lunch with a group of 14-15 other families on one pathshala day. Please select one pathshala day on which your family will sponsor and organize lunch.
2. Parent Volunteer Service: At least one parent must provide volunteer service on one pathshala day other than their chosen lunch sponsorship day. On their volunteer service day, one or both parents will make themselves available between 9:30 a.m to 1:00 p.m to help with simple activities guided by the Pathshala administration team. No preparation or additional spend of money will be required for the volunteer service by parents. For any additional questions please email officers@jaincenter.org.
