JCYC Pathshala
The JCYC Pathshala program consists of the following classes.
- Principles of Jainism:This is mandatory for all students from age 3 to 18.
- Gujarati or Hindi Language:This is mandatory for students ages 7 and up.
- Cultural/Life Balance Classes:Students between age of 15-18 yrs can take this class if they have completed language course.
- Class Times on Pathshala Days:

11:30 - 12:45 pm Language/Culture/Life Balance Class - Sutra Class: This is an optional class available to students 7yrs and older. Classes are held on Zoom (virtually) on non-pathshala days. Please see Sutra Class dates in table below. Students can choose one of two tracks. Please enroll as part of pathshala registration.

PATHSHALA 2024-2025
The Jain Center Youth Council (JCYC) Pathshala program follows the school calendar. Classes are held in person every other Sunday between September and June each year. The 2024-2025 pathshala year will begin with the first class on August 18. Children that are 3 Years or older on August 31 of that year to be eligible to enroll in Pathshala classes. Please note that pathshala classes will be held in-person at the Jain Center.
Registration will be halted between August 5 - 17, for two weeks prior to start of class to allow for class assignments. It will resume on first day of class on August 18
Annual Registration Fee:
Early registration fee (through August 5th): $100 per child
Aug 18th onwards: $150 per child

Mandatory Parent Engagement
Parents are required to provide volunteer service in two ways:
1. Parent Sponsored Lunch: Sponsoring and organizing lunch with a group of 14-15 other families on one pathshala day. Please select one pathshala day on which your family will sponsor and organize lunch.
2. Parent Volunteer Service: At least one parent must provide volunteer service on one pathshala day other than their chosen lunch sponsorship day. On their volunteer service day, one or both parents will make themselves available between 9:30 a.m to 1:00 p.m to help with simple activities guided by the Pathshala administration team. No preparation or additional spend of money will be required for the volunteer service by parents. For any additional questions please email [email protected].
